Thomas M. Steinberg
Founder & CEO
Thomas M. Steinberg is Founder and CEO of TS Partners, an international, diversified investment firm with real estate, private equity and venture capital holdings.
Prior to founding TS Partners, Tom spent 22 years with Tisch Family Interests which he joined as Managing Director in 1991, and where he became President in 1996. Tom was responsible for a wide range of investment activities for the families of Laurence A. Tisch and Preston Robert Tisch including management of portfolios that included public equity, private equity, debt and alternative investments.
With the Tisch Family, Tom was involved in a number of notable projects including acting as a lead underwriter for the Canary Wharf Development in London and development of MetLife Stadium, home to the New York Giants and New York Jets. His responsibilities also included oversight of family office activities including accounting, tax planning and reporting functions, as well as portfolio management responsibility for a significant portion of the Tisch family’s non-real estate assets.
From 1982 to 1986, Tom was one of four Vice Presidents at Goldman Sachs & Company in New York responsible for all real estate acquisitions of the company including pension fund, syndication and partnership accounts. He also provided Goldman clients with financing, structuring and valuation advice.
Tom serves as one of six trustees and heads the investment committee of Seritage Growth Properties (NYSE:SRG), a publicly-traded REIT with a market capitalization in excess of $1 billion. Seritage owns approximately 250 real estate assets that were spun off from Sears Holding Corporation.
Tom is also a member (formerly Chairman) of the Board of Directors of Gunther International, formerly a Nasdaq company. In addition, he serves on the board of directors and/or advisory boards of a number of privately held companies in various industries including Telecommunications, Information Services, Commercial Lending, and Venture Capital.
From 1994 to 2005, Tom was a member of the Board of Directors of NYSE-traded Catellus Development Corporation, a spin-off of the Southern Pacific and Santa Fe Railroad’s real estate holdings, and one of the largest landholders and real estate development companies in the country. He has also served as a director of Cellegy (Nasdaq:CLGY), a specialty pharmaceuticals company.
Tom graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Yale University in 1978 where he was awarded distinction in Economics. He received an MBA from Stanford University in 1982.

Joseph Shmidman
Managing Director
Joseph Shmidman is a Managing Director at TS Partners and is responsible for management of the firm’s investments. His 25 year professional career includes experience in finance, operations, investments, consulting and law.
Joseph has led and advised companies in a wide-range of industries from inception to maturity. Among his previous roles, Joseph was the CEO of IDT Corporation’s (NYSE:IDT) Business Process Outsourcing division, which he developed into a diversified global business. He also served as the General Manager of WorldQuant Research (Israel) Ltd., a subsidiary of WorldQuant, LLC, a US-based, global investment management firm, where he led the company’s Israel presence, growth and operations.
As a strategic consultant, Joseph assisted a number of early-stage and established businesses in a wide range of industries including legal services, travel and tourism, and eco-friendly products, in developing their product/service focus, optimizing operations, sourcing capital, and identifying and penetrating new markets.
Mr. Shmidman began his professional career as an attorney with Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson in New York, and subsequently worked as an investment banker and investment manager in the US and Israel offices of international firms.
Joseph earned his Juris Doctor degree from Columbia Law School and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Yeshiva University.

Adar Breuer
Director of Operations
Adar is the Director of Operations at TSPartners and is responsible for the company’s day-to-day operations. Her responsibilities include: ongoing monitoring of existing investments; oversight of outside property managers and vendors; management of investment and internal financial and technical operations; cash management and banking relationships; research and presentation of new investment opportunities; and investor relations and communications.
Prior to joining TSPartners in 2018, Adar was the Director of Operations at Meor, Inc., a $10 million non-profit organization focused on Jewish Leadership and Israel Advocacy, that engages with more than 4,000 US college students annually. In that role, she coordinated with and provided operational support and reporting for 40 educators and hundreds of volunteers in multiple locations across two continents.
Among her roles at Meor, Adar also organized semi-annual staff development forums; helped to plan and run fundraising events; managed logistics and technical planning for international trips for groups of 250+ students; and led the set-up of Meor’s initial office and infrastructure.
Adar received her MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Touro College.

Sarah Greenwald
Real Estate Manager
Sarah has been involved in real estate investment, management and development for more than 10 years. Her real estate activities have focused primarily on land development and residential projects.
Sarah is also a seasoned entrepreneur with a diverse range of successful startups and endeavors. She began her career by founding and heading PP and Co Pharmaceuticals, a nutraceutical company, where she successfully marketed the company’s products through pharmacy networks. She has also developed and registered two patents related to nutraceutical innovations. In addition, Sarah created and managed a business involved in importing and marketing fine silver jewelry.
Sarah received her MBA from Bar Ilan University.
Rob Steinberg is an internationally recognized architect with an expertise in design, urban planning, hospitality, and mixed-use projects. He has been awarded numerous national and international design awards and is frequently published in industry journals and publications. Rob is a frequent lecturer and presenter at many universities and design conferences around the world. Some of his most notable projects are the San Jose Civic Center; the Changsha, China city master plan (80 million sf); The Tech Museum, San Jose and the Taube Koret Center for Jewish Life, Palo Alto.
He is active in a number of academic and real estate related organizations including his role as Urban Land Institute Governor, Executive Board Member of SPUR - The San Francisco Bay Area Planning and Urban Research Association, and Policy Advisory Board Member at University of California, Berkeley Fisher Center for Real Estate & Urban Economics. Rob began his professional career as a filmmaker in New York and Hollywood, garnering international awards for his documentary films.
Rob received his BFA from New York University in Motion Pictures and Television, his Master of Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, and has done Post Graduate Management Studies at Harvard Graduate School of Design.
